In 2010, I completed my Child Development Supervisor certification at Mount Royal College. Prior to Serendipity I was a Director of a daycare and playschool in Calgary, ran a day home for 7 years and volunteered in my children's schools.  I have been teaching at Serendipity since 2003.  I feel very fortunate to work with a team of teachers who truly enjoy the children and take the time and initiative to plan in their best interests. Since my early teen years, I have loved working with children and look forward to teaching your children here at Serendipity Pre-Kindergarten.

My journey with Serendipity began back in 2014 when my son attended the school, I fell in love with the philosophy of Learning through Play. I have a passion for working with children and have enjoyed my time with all age groups.  I ran a day home for 10 years before starting my career in education and intervention with the Foothills School Division as a PUF Education Assistant. In June 2018 I completed my Child Development Assistant certification and became Serendipity’s summer school teacher.
I’m very excited to be back in the classroom and look forward to a fantastic year ahead.

I started with Serendipity in the fall of 2015 and hold a Child Development Assistant Certificate.  In my previous career I was a Registered Dental Assistant and worked in Public Health with children.    When my twin daughters were 3, they attended Serendipity, and I loved what Serendipity had to offer them and how caring the teaching staff was.  Through volunteering, I realized I love working with young children, so I decided it was time to change my career.  I find the 3 and 4 year olds so much fun to work with. They make you laugh with their expressions, stories, they warm your heart with their bright smiles and laughter.  I feel very fortunate to work with great families and an amazing staff.
